Resume Writing Workshop - 05/08/2025 The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and the Placement Committee in association with ICT (Information and Communication Technology) Academy conducted a workshop on Resume Writing exclusively for the 3rd year students of St. George’s Arts and Science College on the 5th of August 2025. The Chief Guest, Ms. Sowmya Karan, Senior Associate, ICT Academy told the students the importance of a well-structured resume, that they need to mention their achievements and certifications as bullet points, that their resume should stand out from the competition, that they should use words from the job description as companies use an Applicant Tracking System (ATS). She also advised them that their resumes should have key sections like Header, Work Experience, Education, Skills, Certification. She advised the students to start practising for their interviews. An activity was also conducted for the students wherein they had to introduce themselves, list their career objective, speak about their education, certifications, work experience and hobbies. At the end of the program, the students went away with guidance on how to prepare their resumes and interview.
